CG Carbon specializes in producing activated carbon from selected grades of coconut shell, tailored specifically for use in cigarette filters. This specialized carbon is designed to efficiently remove unwanted substances from cigarette smoke without affecting the desired flavor and aroma profiles, adhering to the stringent specifications set by cigarette manufacturers.
Technologies & Solutions
CG Carbon provides both non-moisturized and moisturized granular coconut carbon to cigarette and filter manufacturers. This carbon is engineered to filter out carcinogens and other toxic compounds present in tobacco smoke that cannot be captured by traditional carbonless filters. Depending on the application, the carbon can be incorporated into a Cavity filter or dispersed within a Dalmatian filter, with the moisture content precisely adjusted to meet specific customer requirements.
Crafted from premium coconut shell grades and created through a process of high-temperature steam activation under strictly controlled conditions, CG’s granular activated carbons are of food-grade quality and fulfil all the existing regulations for tobacco products. This commitment ensures that CG’s activated carbon products meet the high standards required by the tobacco industry, offering a reliable solution for enhancing the safety of cigarette products.
Granular activated carbon (GAC) is distinguished by its ability to remain on a 50-mesh sieve. CG Carbon specializes in producing GAC from coconut shells, employing different techniques and levels of activation to ensure CG’s activated carbon meets a broad spectrum of needs.
Powdered activated carbon (PAC) from CG are fine particles that meet the ASTM standard of passing through an 80-mesh sieve (0.180 mm), offering specialized pore structures and adsorption capacities.
Pelletized activated carbon, shaped into cylindrical forms, serves as an effective tool for eliminating pollutants like volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and mercury from natural gas and for managing odors efficiently.
